Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri had a good game in the 4-0 win over Morecambe on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea were too strong for the League Two side in the FA Cup third round tie, and the Blues got an easy victory, with Emerson having a good game.
The 26-year-old Brazilian is currently Chelsea’s second choice left-back, and speaking after the game, he sang the praises of Chelsea wingers Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech for their movement when attacking, which allows him to overlap.
“I tried three times, it didn’t happen in this game, but I’m happy for the team and the result,” he said.
“Callum, Hakim or Christian, they like to stay between the lines, so for me I have the space for the overlap. Or yesterday, Callum stayed high more with me inside, so this is a good connection. It depends on the opponent and we try to move the defenders.”
