Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid have been linked with Bayern Munich star David Alaba, who’s set to become a free agent during the summer transfer window.
According to reports from Spain, Spanish giants Real Madrid are believed to have won the race to sign Chelsea transfer target David Alaba on a free transfer.
The Austrian international has been speaking with clubs outside Germany after turning down a £200,000-per-week offer to remain at Bayern Munich.
Following claims that Real Madrid have won the race for Alaba after the Austrian international agreed a four year contract with Real Madrid worth £11 million per year, Alaba’s father has dismissed such rumours.
George Alaba claims that his son is yet to make a final decision, and that a possible switch to Real Madrid is one of several options currently available to him.
The Bayern talisman’s father told Sport 1: “A decision has not yet been made and David has not yet signed with Real. Besides Real, there are other clubs that are interested in him.
“For him what counts is that he wants to concentrate fully on Bayern and his performance.”
