Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek needed a loan spell away from the club, after an Achilles injury kept him out of action for almost a year.
The 24-year has since returned to football, but looked far from his best last season. After the start of this season, he still looked far from his best, prompting the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard to send him out on loan.
Loftus-Cheek joined Fulham until the end of the season, and Fulham boss Scott Parker admitted after their 2-0 win over QPR that the Chelsea midfielder is indeed making good improvements.
“Ruben’s technically gifted and I see him getting better and better with each game,” said Parker.
“Goals, assists, grabbing games by the scruff of the neck are all elements he can do, and you can’t say that about many players. It just shows the capabilities that he has.”
“What he’s got now is the only run of games he’s had over the last 18 months and we’ve certainly seen improvements,” the Fulham boss added.
“I still see loads and loads of levels from him and where he wants to get to.”
