It’s not been up to a week since Thomas Tuchel was appointed as Chelsea manager, but the new Blues boss is already leaving his imprint on the team.
Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed that the new boss is indeed happy with the players and has made clear what he expects from the team.
“Since he arrived, he made it clear what he wanted from us,” said Azpilicueta.
“He said that he was very happy to manage this group of talented players, experienced players.
“We have a good mix of everything and he wanted to achieve the targets that we want, to do it all together.
“We are halfway through the season, we still have lots to play for and we have our objectives, and we know playing for this club always requires high standards every single day. Obviously, we will try to do it all together.”
The Chelsea team totally dominated the game against Wolves with 79% possession but were unable to score a goal. Tuchel will be hoping that is sorted out ahead of the next game.
