Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri was given a rare start as Chelsea hosted Morecambe at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Blues were 4-0 winners against the League Two side, with Emerson giving a good account of himself down the left flank.
The Brazilian is second choice left-back, as he’s currently behind Ben Chilwell. The game against Morecambe was his 9th appearance of the season, and he has now told Chelsea manager Frank Lampard that he is ready to play anytime he is called upon.
“I feel good because I’m training hard every day, I’m always ready when the manager puts me on the pitch and I try to do my best,” said the Italy international.
“The game yesterday was very important for us because in the last game we lost. So the most important thing was to have a solid game and get the victory, like we did.”
