Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount was surprisingly named captain for the first time in his Chelsea career for our FA Cup game against Luton at Stamford Bridge.

The 22 year old midfielder is Chelsea’s youngest captain since John Terry way back in 2002.

An emotional Mount who’s playing for his boyhood club, was very emotional after the game, and took to social media to reveal his pride.

“Captaining the club I’ve been at since the age of 6, no words can describe the emotion and immense pride!,” he wrote on Instagram.

Former Chelsea captain John Terry responded to Mount’s post with a four-word message.

“Buzzing for you mate,” the Chelsea legend wrote which was accompanied with a ‘c’ emoji.

Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard also noted that Mount is a future Chelsea captain material.
