Chelsea boss Frank Lampard must accept most of the blame for Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City as he failed to play Chelsea’s best player at the moment.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been Chelsea’s best player in the last few games but was overlooked for an unfit Hakim Ziyech for the game against Manchester City.

Just as he has done in the last few games for the Blues, Hudson-Odoi was our brightest player when he replaced Ziyech with 26 minutes to play. He got on the scoresheet, too, firing home in the dying moments from close range after an excellent Kai Havertz cross.

Lampard needs to play our in-form players and not big names. This season, we have seen Lampard start unfit players and out-of-form players and this must stop.
