Chelsea returned to winning ways in style as we beat Morecambe 4-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

Birthday boy Mason Mount opened the scoring for the Blues in the 17th minute before Timo Werner ended his goal drought just before half-time to make it 2-0 for the Blues.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, who was lively all through the game, scored Chelsea’s third early in the second half before Kai Havertz scored our 4th late in the game.

Asked if he was pleased with the performance against Morecambe, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said: “Yes, we got what we wanted from the team.

“It’s not easy when you’re expected to win, which is right with our squad. They made it difficult for us early on but we did well and got our goals, and it will give confidence for the lads.”
