In a recent interview with the official Chelsea website, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard hailed the impact of his latest addition to his coaching staff, Anthony Barry.
Barry joined Chelsea during the summer from Wigan before the start of the season, and Lampard has claimed that he has been impactful.
According to Lampard, Barry has helped the team’s setpieces and also works in studying the opposition and helps in the team’s training.
“He’s been a real positive for the group dynamic, and in all senses,” Lampard said.
“He’s certainly helped on set-pieces, but he’s very diligent, he pays so much attention to ourselves and the opposition in every part of the game, from what we do in the office, to studying opposition and working on the training field.
“It’s very important you have balance within staff, and what Anthony has given us is another person and another level of expertise that I can call upon, and a work ethic that is outstanding.”
Meanwhile, a recent report claims Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering bringing back former Chelsea boss Avram Grant to add some experience to Frank Lampard’s coaching staff.
Abramovich reportedly believes 65 year old Grant will add invaluable experience to Lampard’s young coaching staff.
