Frank Lampard cut a very disappointed look after the 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
Chelsea were outplayed and the Foxes looked the better side tactically.
Lampard doesn’t seem to have much time on his hands with the threats of sack filling the media.
The Blues boss has now admitted that as a Chelsea fan, he feels the pain too and hopes to turn around the team’s fortune in the next three home games.
“I’m disappointed, I’m a Chelsea fan, I’m a Chelsea person no matter what,” Frank Lampard told Chelsea TV after the Leicester defeat.
“So I’m disappointed because I want this team to do well. I want the fans that are watching this or at home to be excited by the players that we have […] like we were a month ago [when] everyone was excited and [we were moving] in a positive direction. Now it feels very different. And I know how quickly football can change.
“So we’re at a halfway stage, where, if we can put results together — and it takes work, takes work in training — in the next three home games that we’ve got, the picture will change very quickly. And it will change for us very quickly. But [we] can’t shout about that. We have to get our heads down and work.”
