Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge was the first time Timo Werner played in a front three alongside Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted he wants to give the trio more game time together but the likes of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud still have a part to play.

“As a threesome [Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech], yes, I like that but also Tammy and Oli have given us a lot this season as well,” Lampard said.

What do you think about Lampard’s preferred front three?

  1. Lampard should not be so predictable. I would like to see him start with Ziyech;Werner;Pulisic, then in the second half he may take out either Ziyech or Pulisic then bring in Giroud or Tammy then change the formation to 4;3;1;2 with Werner playing on the left side of the front two. Ziyech or Pulisic could be deployed as number 10

Pulsic, Timo and Ziyeck will be a good combination. Tomori should be converted to defensive midfielder
