Chelsea must return to winning ways today, as the Blues pay visit to close neighbours Fulham.
At the start of December, Chelsea momentarily went top of the league after beating Leeds United 3-1, but Chelsea’s stock has dropped since then with four Premier League defeats in six games, and Frank Lampard’s side now languishing in 9th.
Fulham may seem beatable on paper, but Scott Parker’s side gave his former boss Jose Mourinho a dose of reality in their 1-1 draw in midweek and are now unbeaten in their last five games.
Chelsea have a quality team out there, with no injury worries.
See the team we believe can hurt the boys from Craven Cottage.
Back four: Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell
Midfield: Gilmour, Kovacic, Mount
Attack: Ziyech, Werner, Pulisic
Naming the best line-up for this game will definitely be a not so easy job for Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
The back five is definitely settled, but the real work begins in midfield with the absence of N’Golo Kante. Should Jorginho or Billy Gilmour come in? Will Kovacic be paired with Mason Mount or Kai Havertz? Naming a young midfield three of Gilmour, Mount and Havertz may look good on paper but risky in real life, as there will be no leadership in the middle of the park from the three young players all less than 23.
In attack, Callum Hudson-Odoi has been Chelsea’s most dangerous player in recent games, but there have been little playing time for him. Will the effective Olivier Giroud get another opportunity or will Lampard try out his purposed front three of Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech?
