According to Daily Express, Liverpool could make an attempt to sign West Ham star Declan Rice in the summer after Chelsea sacked Frank Lampard on Monday morning.
Lampard was a huge admirer of the West Ham midfielder and wanted him back at Stamford Bridge before his sack on Monday.
Rice started his youth career at Chelsea before leaving aged 14.
Following the dismissal of Lampard on Monday, the Blues are unlikely to make a move for Rice, a situation Liverpool are keen to take advantage of.
West Ham reportedly value Rice for around £80million, a fee Chelsea were unwilling to pay for the England international.
