Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has been hailed as a better player than Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell.

This is according to Trevor Sinclair, who represented England 12 times – four at the 2002 World Cup.

He told talkSPORT: “I’ve been a big fan of his this season.

“I think he’s been exceptional and actually, the last game against Sheffield United [Alex] Telles played instead of him and I thought it was a big mistake by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer because he’s been great.

“He’s come round, he looks fitter. People talk about his body shape. It doesn’t matter what shape he is if he’s getting the distances in and he’s fit. I think he’s a great player.

“I fancy him for the England squad in the Euros, I’ve got to be honest, because I actually feel he’s doing better than Ben Chilwell.”
