Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso looked set to leave Chelsea during the January transfer window after falling out with former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
It was reported Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona were interested in signing the Spanish left-back.
According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo via Tribal Football, Alonso will spend the rest of the season at Chelsea because Real Madrid and Barcelona are no longer interested in signing the left-back.
With Chelsea currently having three left-backs – Alonso, Ben Chilwell and Emerson Palmieri – one left-back is expected to leave the club this January as it will be almost impossible to guarantee all three left-backs game time.
