Chelsea have today axed Frank from his position as manager of the club, with his assistant Jody Morris also leaving.
Chelsea are set to confirm the appointment of former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, as the new club boss.
Tuchel had a fairly successful stint with Borussia Dortmund and PSG, but was sacked by the French champions in December, despite leading them to the Champions League final last season.
Gunners legend and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has revealed that Tuchel may not really be the best candidate for Chelsea.
According to Merson, Tuchel didn’t do a good job with managing the egos at PSG and may also fail to get the best out of the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
“So, Thomas Tuchel is coming in,” Merson told Sky Sports. “You’ve got to remember that he could not control the players at Paris Saint-Germain. The likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe did what they wanted. They just played.
“You can’t say that this guy is going to come in and just sort the players out at Chelsea. Can he get Havertz playing? Can he get Werner and [Hakim] Ziyech playing? He didn’t do it with the players at PSG. It’s not like he’s coming in and you think, ‘he’s going to scare these players’.”
