There are so many things to write about today’s performance in what was Thomas Tuchel’s second game in charge of the club. Chelsea totally dominated the away side, and it was a deserved 2-0 victory.

See the player ratings below

Mendy: Barely had anything to do all game, showing just how dominant the Blues were. 6/10

Azpilicueta: Had a solid game defensively, and made a good run forward to score Chelsea’s first goal. 7/10

Thiago Silva: Very cool and composed at the back. Never seemed troubled, and his passing was very good as well. 7/10

Rudiger: Did well against Chris Wood and Matej Vydra. Rodriguez didn’t get any joy when he came on. 7/10

Hudson-Odoi: Back to back awesome performances. He was always dangerous going forward and laid on a good assist for Azpilicueta. 8/10

Alonso: Chelsea’s area of attack mainly came from the right flank, but he did well to score a good goal when it mattered and sealed a 2-0 win for Chelsea. 7/10

Jorginho: He seems to suit Tuchel’s philosophy very well and had a good game in the middle of the park. 7/10

Kovacic: Seemed to have a good understanding with Kovacic. Was the ball carrying player, and he did that confidently. 7/10

Mount: Got into many shooting situations, but his shots weren’t the best today. Worked hard and played a good number of forward passes. 7/10

Tammy Abraham: Decent performance but didn’t have the best of games. Was subbed off at half-time. 5/10

Werner: Couldn’t take advantage of a good chance in the first half. Yet to get into gear and was missing at times. 5/10

Pulisic: Came on after the restart and was very dangerous. Good assist for Alonso’s goal. 7/10

Reece James: 72nd minute sub for Callum Hudson-Odoi and he had a good game. Could have gotten on the scoresheet as well. 6/10

Kai Havertz: Late substitute for Mason Mount.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
