Chelsea and Premier League rivals Manchester United are reportedly in the race for England international and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
According to The Mirror via Daily Mail, Rice has told friends he would prefer a transfer back to Stamford Bridge rather than joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
A source close to the player said: “Dec has been flattered by interest in him but he doesn’t see himself moving to Manchester. It’s obvious where he’d like his next move to be.”
Rice, who turns 22 next week, is best friends with Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount and he would love to be reunited with Mount at club level.
Rice is under contract at West Ham until 2024 and the club value him at a huge £80million.
