Chelsea are reportedly willing to break the club-record transfer fee to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Haaland, who has bagged 19 goals in 17 appearances for Dortmund this season, is said to be Chelsea’s No.1 target ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Daily Star, Premier League club West are happy with Chelsea’s decision to break the bank for Haaland.
West Ham reportedly believe spending big to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund will surely rule out a potential move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Chelsea were keen on signing Rice during the summer transfer window but backed out from submitting a bid after learning West Ham will demand £80 million for Rice.
Rice joined West Ham at the age of 14 after being released by Chelsea.
The 22-year-old has gone on to become a vice-captain at the club, making 130 senior appearances since emerging from their youth ranks in 2017.
