RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with Frank Lampard’s job reportedly on the line.
Nagelsmann is among the list of managers to have been linked with Chelsea, with Thomas Tuchel and Max Allegri also among the favourites.
However, Sky Sports have confirmed that the German side won’t let the young manager leave midway through the season, especially with Leipzig currently in second position in the Bundesliga.
Tuchel is the current bookmakers’ favourite to be the next manager at Stamford Bridge, but Nagelsmann may be the one the Chelsea board are most keen on.
Meanwhile, Leipzig rebuffed a Chelsea fan who made a cheeky attempt to poach Nagelsmann for the Blues.
The Chelsea fan with the name Younes H-Hamou sent a message to Leipzig on Twitter, thus: “Leipzig admin!! Long time no see! How you doing? Had a lot of fun trying to get Timo Werner from you last time and that all worked out!
“You’ve been doing well! Turns out we need another favour from you it seems… How’s your coach Julian doing?” Adding emojis for eyes, a thumbs up and a laughing face.
The Bundesliga side didn’t hesitate to shrug off any possible move, as they replied swiftly: “Doing great, thanks! And… no chance. Bye.”
