Frank Lampard was today dismissed as Chelsea’s manager, following a bad run of form that has seen Chelsea drop from first in the league after beating Leeds United 3-1, to 9th in the league.

Not too long ago, Chelsea were on a cruise with a 17 game unbeaten run, but all that has since been forgotten as a bad run of form cost Lampard his job.

Away defeats to Everton, Wolves, Arsenal and Leicester City and a 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City was enough to see off Lampard, with Chelsea currently 9th in the division.

After spending over £200m in transfers, no progress seemed made, leading to Roman Abramovich wielding his famous axe.

According to Sky in Germany, former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is in line to replace Lampard. The former Borussia Dortmund coach is available after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in December.

Tuchel will join Chelsea with a wealth of managerial experience, having won the DFB-Pokal in 2017 with Dortmund before a trophy-laden spell in Paris which saw him win two Ligue 1 titles and a French Cup, as well as reaching the final of last season’s Champions League, which they lost to Bayern Munich.

What do you think of Tuchel managing Chelsea?

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

  1. Frank may be gone for now but never forgotten the best and Terry shh and new manager poss German ☹️ good luck with that , the team did not show there price tags , if they don’t play for the CLUB then dock money . Also get rid of that witch that she knows it all M paid tooo much 👎 I have tattoos with Chelsea and my house is covered with the club ,54 and sad and Drinkwater 🤫

  2. Lampard ain’t the problem but the club’s board if full of people who lack knowledge of the game. Patience is something very important in football especially for a club that is in a rebuilding process. I don’t think Tuchel will bring any great changes to the club if there’s no patience they’ll continue sacking managers but will never dominate the EPL and European Football.
