Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham scored a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Luton Town 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Abraham matched a Frank Lampard Chelsea record following his hat-trick against Luton Town.
His hat-trick against Luton Town means Abraham is the first English player to score a hat-trick for Chelsea in the FA Cup since Lampard’s hat-trick against Macclesfield in the third round of the 2006/07 FA Cup.
Lampard will be hoping Abraham’s hat-trick is a good sign for Chelsea as the Blues won the FA Cup in 2007 when Lampard netted a hat-trick in the competition that season.
Meanwhile, Abraham is now Chelsea’s top goalscorer this season. His hat-trick against Luton Town took his tally across all competitions to 11 goals.
