Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was sacked from his position as manager, after guiding the Blues to a 3-1 victory over Luton Town on Sunday.
By Monday morning, Lampard’s sack was confirmed, after 18 months in charge of the club.
After Lampard’s sacking, the Blues legend wished the club well and said he’d always be a Blue.
Meanwhile, his tribute has attracted reactions from many football legends around the world, with Chelsea legends John Terry and Didier Drogba among the legendary players to have wished Lampard well.
John Terry sent out a Blue heart emoji to the former Blues boss, before dishing out a separate Instagram post, with the caption saying: “LEGENDS FOREVER.”
Drogba responded with a message: “Class is permanent, forever a legend.”
John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba were the core of the Chelsea team in the previous era, and it’s nice to see the legends sticking out their neck for each other.
