The past few weeks have been one of pressure for Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, and the Blues boss will welcome the distraction of the FA Cup to try build some confidence in his side and also get a massive victory.

The Chelsea players will have a week rest from the City defeat, before facing Morecambe and then play neighbours Fulham five days later.

Lampard may try to rotate his squad a little bit for the FA Cup third round tie against Morecambe, and three youngsters who have been with the squad may get some minutes at some point in the game, but especially if the result is comfortable.

Inasmuch as Lampard will make changes to the team to play Morecambe, he’d still name a very strong team for the match as he’d want his side to return to winning ways and score as many goals as possible in order to boost the team’s confidence.

Kepa Arrizabalaga may be given the role in goal post, while Antonio Rudiger may get another opportunity in defence. Emerson Palmieri will also return to the left-back position, with Billy Gilmour expected to start in midfield alongside Kai Havertz. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech will also be on the starting line-up to boost up their match confidence since returning from injury.

Meanwhile, the three youngsters expected to make the squad are Tino Anjorin, Lewis Bate and Henry Lawrence. All three have been training with the first team so far this season, and would be grateful to have some minutes against Morecambe.
