Chelsea returned to winning ways on Sunday as we comfortably bear League Two side Morecambe to reach the fourth round.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount put Chelsea side ahead on his 22nd birthday from 25 yards before Timo Werner doubled the lead from close range just before half-time.

Werner’s goal against Morecambe was his first goal for Chelsea since 7 November.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi scored Chelsea’s third early in the second half before Kai Havertz headed the fourth after meeting Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross.

Chelsea are back in Premier League action on Friday when we make the short trip to west London rivals Fulham.
