The game against Manchester City will be one of Frank Lampard’s biggest games this season. Nothing less than a win might be a good result for Chelsea, as the Blues have dropped points in four of our last five league games.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was pleased to have Hakim Ziyech return for training ahead of the City game, but two of the club’s brightest prospects in Lewis Bate and Henry Lawrence were also spotted in training.
Bate and Lawrence are highly rated at the club, and they might probably get some playing time in the upcoming FA Cup tie against Morecambe.
Meanwhile, Lampard has revealed that he’s glad to have Ziyech back to his team, but failed to acknowledge if he’d get a starting opportunity against Manchester City.
“He’s fit to train,” Lampard said in his pre-match press conference. “He’s trained for the last two or three days.
“I will make the decision as to whether he is ready to start.”
