Former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has been linked with Frank Lampard’s job at Chelsea following a run that has seen us lose five of our last eight games.
Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic played under Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund before the German tactician left the German club.
The comments of Pulisic back in 2017 suggest that he would be more than happy to work under the former PSG coach again, but probably not at the expense of Lampard.
Speaking to Bundesliga.com in 2017, Pulisic said: ”I’m just very thankful for everything he did for me. Tuchel always just trusted me and gave me a chance.
“Of course he’s given me tips and feedback with what he sees every day in training and stuff like that, small things.”
The Chelsea forward added: “It’s tough in professional sports when a coach has to go like this, especially after a pretty good season.
“But we’re excited to see who we get and I think the team will be just fine.”
While Pulisic enjoyed his time under Tuchel, the American international will prefer working under Lampard.
Pulisic has managed 13 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances under Lampard, compared to only seven goals and 13 assists in 55 under Tuchel.
