A worrying stat has emerged backing Frank Lampard’s Chelsea to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Chelsea dropped to eighth following the 2-0 defeat to Leicester and are now nine points off leaders Leicester.

According to The Sun, our point tally at this stage of the season is one of our lowest points totals at the halfway stage in Prem history.

Chelsea have only picked up less than this season’s total of 29 points from 19 games on five occasions.

And four of those times they have failed to finish above 10th in the Prem.
