PSG chief Leonardo has hit back at Chelsea defender Thiago Silva after the Brazilian complained about the way he was treated by Leonardo in the final months of his time with PSG.
The Brazilian left PSG for Chelsea on a free transfer after helping the French club reach the Champions League final last season.
Leonardo told France Football, “Thiago, it’s me who brought him from Fluminense to Milan where I was manager (in December 2008).
“Six months later, I am on the bench and I give him the keys to defence, with (Alessandro) Nesta.
“I then brought him to PSG (in July 2012) where he became one of the best defenders in the world. I have been his greatest admirer throughout his career. But he had come to the end of something. There were some things that happened last season that I didn’t like.
“He knows them because we talked about them together…”
