Kurt Zouma is surprisingly one of Chelsea’s highest goalscorers in the Premier League this season. The 26-year-old has already bagged in four goals in the league this season, and all came from the corner kick.

Zouma has revealed that the secret to his goals this season is confidence.

He told the official Chelsea website: “There is nothing special really. I feel more confident in myself. The technical staff put more confidence and trust in me.

“Now when there is a corner I know I can score and have the feeling 100 per cent I can make a difference.

“Also, the guy who takes the set-piece is trying to look for me a bit more. It’s about determination, motivation and confidence.”

Asked about his thoughts before heading the ball, he responded: “Get a good contact first but at the same time guide it to make sure it’s on target. I know if I put power on there and it’s on target it’s going to be very dangerous.”
