Chelsea invested over £200m in new signings last summer, and the Blues currently have a large squad, with adequate backups in every position, not to mention players who are out on loan.
New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is still trying to figure out his best side two weeks after taking charge of the club, and he seems to have formed a certain core so far.

Now 34, Olivier Giroud has been at the club since January 2017. Even though he hasn’t always been the first name on the sheet, the France international has always proven to be an important player for Chelsea. He has come up with very important goals, and played a key role in helping Chelsea seal a top four finish last season.

Chelsea have the option to keep him for another year, and it’s very likely that he will remain at the club until at least next season.
The oldest player in the Chelsea squad. The 39-year-old is now third choice goalkeeper at the club, following the signing of Edouard Mendy. He has made two appearances for the Blues this season, but it doesn’t seem like he may get another appearance anytime soon. The Argentine may leave at the end of the season, except Kepa leaves for a new club and he gets back his number two role.
