Chelsea players Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva have missed the last two games for the club through injury.

Kai Havertz last played for Chelsea in the 2-0 win against Burnley where he came on as a substitute. Thiago Silva hasn’t featured for Chelsea since going off through a muscle injury in the first half against Tottenham.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will now be pleased to have both players back in the squad ahead of crucial upcoming games, with Chelsea playing Southampton this weekend and Atletico Madrid next week Tuesday, in what is expected to be a crunch Champions League tie.

The two summer signings have resumed training and were both pictured in full training with the rest of squad on Thursday morning.

Tammy Abraham is still out injured, having gone out under 20 minutes of action in the game against Newcastle.

Speaking after the game, Tuchel told reporters: “It’s serious enough he had to go out and we worry about him and hopefully he will not miss too many matches.”
