It’s no longer news that Bayern Munich defender David Alaba will leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.
The Austrian international declined signing a new contract with the Bavarians and is keen to hone his skills abroad.
Chelsea are among the clubs rumoured to be keen on Alaba, but Real Madrid are believed to be his favoured destination.
Meanwhile, reliable reporter Fabrizio Romano has reported that Alaba is still being courted by Chelsea and Liverpool among other clubs, and Chelsea are believed to have made an approach towards his signing.
The reliable journalist also added that Alaba himself has his heart set on joining Real Madrid, and that the 28-year-old already has a verbal agreement with the Spanish giants.
Chelsea are known to hijack deals that they weren’t favourites for, with the Timo Werner transfer the most recent one, as Chelsea beat Liverpool to the signing of the German international.
Alaba told the media on Tuesday that he’s yet to make his final decision, and we’d be keeping our fingers crossed on the Bayern star.
