Matt Law of the Telegraph has confirmed the Blues are keen on signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer.
Law also confirmed Chelsea have prioritised signing a centre-back and a striker this summer.
While the Blues are keen on signing Haaland, the club face two challenges in the race for his signature.
According to Law, Haaland’s wages and his agent, Mino Raiola, are the two challenges Chelsea face in the club’s bid to sign Haaland.
Haaland reportedly earns £141,000 per week at Dortmund and would no doubt seek for a wage increase when he does move to a bigger club.
Haaland’s agent, Raiola, is known to be a controversial figure and he tends to demand a huge agent fee during the transfer of his clients.
Chelsea failed to bring back Lukaku to the club from Everton due to the massive amount Raiola demanded as an agent fee.
Raiola is also a very controversial figure as we have seen in the case of Paul Pogba of Manchester United.
