Chelsea will end the month of February with a home game against Manchester United. The two teams met back in October, and the tie ended in a goalless draw.
At the time of the reverse meeting, Chelsea were among the title contenders, while United were still trying to sort themselves out in the middle of the pile.
Things have since changed, as United are now second in the league, and were top of the table before recently being ousted by Manchester City. For Chelsea, the Blues have had to climb up the log since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, from 9th place to 5th position.
Chelsea hero Pat Nevin believes changes happen quickly in this league, and assures that nothing is settled yet.
He wrote for the official club website: “February will be vital. By the time we meet Manchester United on the 28th, if Thomas Tuchel has managed to keep the unbeaten run going until then, the season will suddenly look totally different. The latter stages of the FA Cup could be in our sights, the Champions League last eight will beckon and United may well be arriving at the Bridge considering us real challengers for their place in the top four.
“It is busy alright, but it is also the start of the business end of the season. I for one can’t wait.”
