Marcos Alonso sealed Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Burnley on Sunday in his first appearance since September, with a stunning strike to ensure that the Blues end January with a win and move up to 7th in the league.

It was a sensational strike from the Spaniard who was playing in his favoured left wing-back position.

After the game, Alonso shared a post on Instagram with the caption: “This is the way! Well done boys! On to the next one.”

There were lots of reactions from the Chelsea players, with the likes of Kai Havertz, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Emerson Palmieri and lot more impressed with his effort.

“Grande,” Havertz said in the comment section of Alonso’s Instagram post.

“Happy for you brother,” Abraham wrote in his Instagram story.

Even outcasts like Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta were quick to congratulate him.

The Spaniard seems to be a popular figure in the Chelsea dressing room, and it’s nice to see him having a good time yet again.
