Chelsea are reportedly set to spend big again this summer.

According to Spanish outlet Todo Fichajes via CaughtOffside, Chelsea have held several meetings with the agent of Atletico Madrid superstar Jan Oblak, with the view to a possible summer transfer.

The report claims Chelsea have made two enquiries with Atletico Madrid about a transfer for the 28 year old goalkeeper, as well as holding several meetings with the goalkeeper’s agent.

Oblak has a €120million release clause at Atletico Madrid but the Blues are willing to offer €90million for the goalkeeper as an initial fee.

The report also claims Oblak believes his future lies in the Premier League, with the goalkeeper keen on a Premier League move sooner rather than later, though he is said to be happy at Atletico Madrid.

Oblak has proved himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the past few years but with Edouard Mendy impressing since joining Chelsea, do we really need Oblak at Chelsea?
