Are we set to have another Declan Rice story after another former Chelsea player was named in Tottenham’s Europa League squad?

Marcel Lavinier joined Tottenham last October after he was released by Chelsea last year having spent 12 years with the Blues, initially joining the Under-8s before progressing to the U23s.

The 20 year old was handed a contract at Tottenham after impressing on trial.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho – not often one to place his faith in youth – clearly sees something special in Lavinier after the 20 year old was named in Tottenham’s Europa League squad.

Lavinier primarily plays as a right back – and his speed is a huge asset, but his versatility also stands out.

Will Chelsea regret releasing the defender?
