Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was subbed off after 20 minutes in the 2-0 victory over Newcastle United following a rash challenge from Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles.
Manchester United Gary Neville claims Abraham has himself to blame because he was more concerned about winning a penalty instead of trying to score.
“We have seen this time and time again where players do not play the ball, they try and encourage the penalty and want the foul,” Gary Neville told Sky Sports.
“Watch Tammy Abraham’s right foot… he steps right into an unnatural position because he wants Lascelles to come through the back of him.
“Rather than play the ball where he could have got a penalty anyway, or might have scored a goal, he ends up getting himself hurt.”
