Tottenham will be without their top forward Harry Kane for their game against Chelsea on Thursday evening.
Kane suffered an ankle injury in the game against Liverpool, and was taken off at half-time. Spurs struggled in his absence against the Reds and also looked very weak without their captain as they were again beaten by Brighton in the following game.
Kane will be out for some weeks and will be unavailable for Thursday’s game against Chelsea, and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted that it would be a huge blow for Tottenham.
“I would say it is always easier if Harry Kane is not playing, that’s a given and absolutely for sure, it is no secret,” Tuchel said.
“Harry Kane is one of the best No 9s in the world. When he is in shape, he is a role model in the No 9 position that every player and coach hopes for.
“That’s in terms of work rate, ambition, mentality, attitude and goal scoring ability. He is simply outstanding. We assume he won’t play but we will prepare for all cases in case he makes it on the pitch. We will be prepared for that.”
