Chelsea midfielder Jorginho scored from the spot as Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.

The Italian international, who is known for his unique penalty in which he stutters with a little jump before striking the ball, changed his penalty approach for his goal against Tottenham.

“I felt okay before the penalty,” Jorginho told Chelsea’s official website.

“I have kept working on it, kept training, so I was feeling confident. I changed the technique because I felt that way could be better, and it worked. You saw the result.”

“It feels very good,” Jorginho added.

“We worked hard. We knew it would be a tough game, it was a derby against a very good team. We deserved the win.

“The first half was good. We created chances and could have scored more goals. We maybe could have made better choices in the last few minutes, that’s something to improve, but we just need to keep working the way we are doing and then we will see the results.”

Jorginho had seen two of his five Premier League penalties saved this season before changing his penalty approach against Tottenham.
