Chelsea’s form has experienced an instant turnaround under new boss Thomas Tuchel, as the Blues remain undefeated under the reign of the former PSG boss.
Tuchel’s style may not be pleasing to the eye, but it sure is effective, as Chelsea have become harder to beat.
Under Frank Lampard, Chelsea played a more expansive style of football, but it left the team often open at the back.
Tuchel has gone for a more dominant and yet close style of play, as Chelsea tend to have all the possession and not allow the opponent to penetrate.
Chelsea face Manchester United this weekend, and Jorginho is feeling upbeat ahead of this game. And for the Italy international, he prefers this philosophy of locking up shop at the back.
Jorginho said: “Playing every game is very motivating, but when you have a big game like this it’s even more so. It will be a tough game, against a very hard opponent, it will not be easy.
“I think the best way is always to defend well because when you defend well and don’t concede, then you can create chances because of the qualities of the group. We need to keep defending very well and then try to score when we have a chance.”
