It was a good win for Chelsea, as the Blues went up to sixth in the Premier League after back to back wins under Thomas Tuchel.

It wasn’t an easy second-half against Spurs, but the Blues had already done the job in the second-half from a Jorginho penalty goal, which was won by Timo Werner.

See the player ratings below

Mendy: Very comfortable in goal and made one good save from a Lamela shot. Looked confident in goal and handled the ball pretty well. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Didn’t go forward in this game, like in the previous game against Burnley. He was tasked with the responsibility of handling Son, and did that very well. 7/10

Thiago Silva: His experience is shown and clear to see on the pitch. Before he got off injured in the first half, he had completed more passes than anyone else on the pitch and was marshalling the defence with so much confidence on the ball. 6/10

Rudiger: Solid performance as he imposed himself upon Carlos Vinicius. Did a great job in defence and made the most tackles of any Chelsea player. 7/10

Reece James: Bombarded the right flank in the first-half as he started for the first time under Tuchel. Linked well with Hudson-Odoi in the first-half. In the second period, he had to do a lot of defending and was equally good. 8/10

Alonso: Did his job quite okay. Nothing out of the box from him today, and he defended well. 7/10

Jorginho: Left his hop to dispatch the penalty for Chelsea. Besides the goal, his performance was worthy of commendation. Dictated the game in the middle of the park as he continued his fine form under Tuchel. 7/10

Kovacic: He was the mobile of the two central midfielders and carried the ball out from the middle a good number of times. Was a threat with the ball but his final ball was missing. 7/10

Mount: Very impressive performance from the 22-year-old. Very industrious performance and was very much involved in Chelsea’s play. Missed his scoring chances but good game nevertheless. 8/10

Hudson-Odoi: Played as a forward this time around and always tried to make things happen with his direct play. His influence waned in the second half and was taken off for Christian Pulisic. 7/10

Werner: His pace was a problem for Tottenham in the first half and won Chelsea the penalty after taking advantage of Eric Dier. Worked hard when Tottenham pressed hard in the second half. 6/10

Christensen: Came on for the injured Thiago Silva and performed really well. Very good performance. 7/10

Pulisic: Came on for Hudson-Odoi for the final 25 minutes of the game, and made an instant impact with his dribbles. A lot still needs to be worked on in the final third. 7/10

Kante: Brought in for Kovacic to help solidify the defence as Tottenham pressed late on. Did a good job. 6/10
