New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is making do of the squad at his disposal, and so far the German boss has done a good job.

However, reports claim that he is also looking at strengthening the squad ahead of next season.

Reports from Germany claims that Chelsea are keen on signing up Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, with the Blues believed to have struck a deal with the player’s agent.

New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly keen on improving his defence, and Boateng is seen as an upgrade on the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen, while Thiago Silva is also 36 years of age and surely nearing the end of his top-level career.

The veteran German is out of contract at Bayern Munich and will almost certainly depart on a free transfer. However, Chelsea are the only club to have been linked with the 32-year-old.

Do you think this will be a good signing?
