Many Chelsea fans feared for the worst when they saw Kepa Arrizabalaga on the starting lineup to face Newcastle.
Indeed, Blues fans do not really have a good memory of Kepa over the past year, and they expected the worst to happen against the Magpies.
However, Kepa seemed comfortable and confident in goal as he kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has stressed that Mendy still remains his first choice goalkeeper.
Explaining his decision to start Kepa against Newcastle United, Tuchel said before the game: “We need a strong Kepa in our squad.
“He had a good game in the cup so we decided to give him another match to build up a little bit of rhythm and confidence and to trust him because he did very good.
“At the same time it give Edouard the chance to recover, to mentally recover. It’s a demanding position so with one decision we have both advantages.”
