Chelsea will visit the St Mary’s Stadium for Saturday’s lunchtime cracker.

Chelsea go into the game unbeaten under Thomas Tuchel, while the Saints are still trying to get back some bit of form after losing 9-0 to Manchester United two weeks ago.

BetVictor brand ambassador has given his predictions for this weekend’s games, and he has predicted a tight affair at the St Mary’s, albeit he’s backing Chelsea to get a marginal scoreline.

Owen said in his pre-match analysis for BetVictor: “Chelsea travel to St Mary’s rejuvenated since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival. The Blues’ are undefeated since the German took over and are noticeably a lot more robust at the back.

“They take on a Southampton side that have shown encouraging signs of improvement in recent weeks after a bit of a mid-season slump.

“I think this one could be tight; however, Chelsea have the look of a side that can grind out results whilst keeping the ball out of their own net, and I think that’s exactly what they’ll do here.”

Owen backed Chelsea to win 1-0.
