Erling Haaland has been a big hit with Borussia Dortmund, since he signed up from RB Salzburg.
Haaland has scored 28 goals in 31 league appearances so far for Dortmund since his £17.5million move from Salzburg.
The striker is attracting massive interests from many top clubs in Europe, with many Premier League sides also pushing for the 22-year-old.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Haaland, but Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes it will be City who would sign the striker, as he believes they need him most with key striker Sergio Aguero injured and running out of contract.
“I think with Man City having problems with strikers,” he said on Sky Sports when discussing Premier League table-topping City’s striker issues.
“[Gabriel] Jesus didn’t play [against Liverpool], how much confidence does Pep [Guardiola] have in him?
“[Sergio] Aguero being out and talk of City maybe going big in the summer and bringing Haaland to the Premier League, so other people have to step up to the plate and [Ilkay Gundogan] has done it more than anyone.”
Meanwhile, Paul Merson believes it is Chelsea who needs Haaland the most, and claims that Haaland will suit Chelsea more than Manchester City.
Merson told Daily Star: “Of all the teams who are in for Erling Haaland, Chelsea are the ones who need him most.
“They have always been successful with someone who has a presence up front and Haaland has that. He’s going to score bundles wherever he goes.
“And if you buy him this summer, you still have the prospect of being able to sell him for a profit later down the line because of his age.
“I’m not sure he’s such a good fit for Manchester City, where he probably wouldn’t play as much.
“But for whoever gets him, it will be worth it. He puts up numbers and he keeps on doing it. Whoever signs him will have a chance of winning the league.”
