Chelsea striker Timo Werner had a huge smile on his face as he ended his goal drought by scoring Chelsea’s second in the 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night.

Werner had gone 14 league games without a goal. It’s been 100 days since he last scored against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge or to be precise, 1000 minutes.

Since he last scored against Sheffield United, he has had 31 attempts on goal without scoring in the league.

The German international will hope this goal against Newcastle United restores his goalscoring form which is needed by the Blues as we fight for a top four finish.
