New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is set to have his first taste of FA Cup action, as the Blues visit Barnsley at the Oakland Stadium on Thursday night.

Tuchel seems motivated to compete in the competition, and has admitted that he’s keen on winning it as well.

“We play every competition to win,” said the German to the press. “Every round in a cup competition is the most important round.

“It’s an elimination game so we have to be totally focused and on point tomorrow when the match starts.”

Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard led Chelsea to the FA Cup final last season, but saw his side lose to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. Chelsea are very successful in the FA Cup, and the Chelsea faithful will be keen to add at least one trophy to the cabinet this season.
