New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has had an unbeaten start to his Chelsea career, with three wins and a draw in his first four games in charge of the club.
Tuchel will now have his first taste of FA Cup football, as Chelsea face Barnsley in the fifth round of the competition on Thursday.
The Chelsea boss will have the opportunity to give play time to some of his fringe players for this fixture, as the players have since resumed training following the 2-1 win over Sheffield United over the weekend.
Chelsea star Kai Havertz was missing in training on Tuesday ahead of the trip to Oakwell to face Barnsley, and he has also missed the last two games for the Blues after a training injury. Havertz wasn’t pictured training with the rest of the squad and could yet again miss Thursday’s game.
Thiago Silva, as well, wasn’t involved as he continues to recover from a thigh injury which is set to keep him out for at least a couple of weeks.
But Christian Pulisic has resumed training after he missed the game against Sheffield United, with the club giving him permission to sort out his family issues.
